Spencer Jones

Originally from Paris, Texas, Spencer Jones moved to the Tyler area after earning his degree from Harding University in December 2016. He quickly made his mark in the accounting field, starting his career at Jerry Nelson & Associates, where he focused on both audit and tax services. After the firm merged with GMP in 2018, Spencer continued his career with GMP and has been with the firm ever since. At GMP, he primarily focuses on Audit & Attestation work, with occasional involvement in tax returns.

Spencer earned his CPA license in 2022 and has developed a deep expertise in audit services, with a particular focus on clients in the construction industry. As an audit manager, he works closely with clients to navigate complex financial reporting and regulatory requirements, providing high-level insights that drive business success. His commitment to excellence in the field is matched by his dedication to the accounting profession as a whole.

Outside of his professional life, Spencer values family and community. He enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons, whether traveling, exploring new experiences, or simply enjoying quality time together. Spencer is also actively involved in his local church, participating in various ministries and singing on the praise team. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, grilling, playing basketball, and attending live musicals.
