Amanda Montgomery

East Texas has always been home for GMP Director Amanda Montgomery, and chances are she'll raise her family here too. "I've never lived anywhere else," says Amanda, "Both my husband, Jon, and I have grown up in Tyler and have put down some pretty strong roots." She also knew early on that she wanted to build a career at Gollob Morgan Peddy. 

In high school, a teacher recommended she reach out to GMP Partner Barbara Bass to learn more about the accounting business. "Barbara was a partner at GMP and at the time was Mayor of Tyler," remembers Amanda, "She set up a lunch with a group of ladies from the firm, and after that, I was hooked. I knew from that day I wanted to work at GMP."

After graduation from the University of Texas at Tyler, Amanda joined the GMP staff. The construction industry captured her interest early on and has been a focus of her work for the past several years. Amanda is now an audit manager in our Construction Division.

Out of the office, Amanda and Jon enjoy spending time with their two fur babies, Luke and Willow. On the weekends they love game nights with friends. When they get a chance to travel, they love finding new ice cream shops.

"I love our town and our firm and hope to leave them both better than how I found them," says Amanda!
